Hi David, The issue isn’t correllation v. causation, the issue is there is zero evidence to establish that any cases were stopped. You’re inferring that cases were avoided, but there is nothing apart from speculation to establish that additional cases would not have occurred but for the government’s action. Also, there is the separate but related problem that governments can manipulate testing to depict whatever epidemic they like. We know this to be true now that we can see that Sweden has AVERAGE mortality in 2020 despite a huge outbreak of COVID. Governments can find cases or not find cases depending on how labs calibrate their PCR testing. The fact that your government proclaims it “defeated the virus” should not convince you of anything, because it means nothing. That’s exactly what China did, proclaimed its Wuhan decisions eradicated the virus from all of China, but across the borders — oh no! Everyone else must lock down!
As for China’s next move, my guess is they are hoping to push societies all the way to civil war. They are hoping for complete destruction and the ability to build back a socialist state without the pesky democratic freedoms and rights and restrictions on government I mentioned in my article.
