Hi David, thanks for the response. With all due respect, you are committing the logical fallacy I discuss in the article: “because it happened after, it must have been caused by.” Just because your government says COVID is “gone” (thanks to its wise actions) and will never be back, does not make it true. This is exactly like attributing the end of a drought to a rain dance. If it were possible to eradicate respiratory viruses with human behavior, then lockdown would have been included in all of our pandemic planning guidelines. It’s not in a single one. In fact, it was specifically rejected.
Also, note that Sweden had a huge outbreak and Covid deaths also ceased there, despite no lockdown. Another fact establishing that “lockdown” is not in fact needed to manage covid19.
